Dr. Yood has more than 30 years of experience in General Surgery, specializing in minimally invasive surgery. He received his medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine and his Master of Public Health Degree in Epidemiology from the University of Michigan. He completed fellowship training in laparoscopic surgery at the University of Massachusetts.
Dr. Yood is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is a member of the New England Surgical Society, Boston Surgical Society, Massachusetts Medical Society, Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract, Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons, Frederick A. Coller Surgical Society, and the Society for Epidemiologic Research.
Dr. Yood specializes in laparoscopic and robotic surgery and has particular interest in hernia repair, gallbladder disorders, anti-reflux procedures and colon surgery. He also has a special interest in patients with gastroparesis. Dr Yood started placing gastric stimulators in 2005 and is the only surgeon in the MetroWest area who places stimulators for treatment of this disease.
